Previously:
July 2023 - Taryn made the move from Phoenix to New York City!
April/July 2023 - Taryn performed in two other concert performances with Arizona Music Theatre Orchestra as Custus/Jimmy in Crazy for You and the ensemble of Parade.
October 2022 - Taryn performed in the ensemble of a staged reading of Sweeney Todd at the public premiere of the Arizona Musical Theatre Orchestra. This is a newer initiative in Phoenix focused on performing musicals with a full live orchestra in Phoenix. It was a great way to celebrate the Halloween season!
Summer 2022 - Taryn recorded voiceover for an audio drama called "To Find Them" where they'll be voicing the main character, Kaden. Coming anywhere you can stream podcasts next fall!
Summer 2022 - Taryn was finally back in the studio taking dance classes (with a focus on modern, tap, and jazz, obviously) after a short hiatus during the pandemic. They are so excited to be back working with some of their favorite choreographers and re-falling in love with some of their favorite styles.

May 2022 - Taryn performed as Henrietta Marcus/Maude in The Belle of Tombstone directed by Joe Barros at The Phoenix Theatre Company as part of their annual Festival of New American Theatre! This was a wonderful musical, written by Sheila Rae, Thomas Edward West, and Michele Brourman, about the untold story of women of the American West.

April 2022 - Taryn performed as Harry P./Myrtle/Others in Puffs, or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic at the Mesa Arts Center. This was a zany production with lots of moving parts, and they truly enjoyed bringing everyone's favorite boy wizard to life with a much more overdramatic and eccentric twist while protesting a particular Evil Wizard Author with a majority trans/nonbinary cast.
March 2022 - Taryn performed in the collaborative concert, "Light Persists" in collaboration with the Arizona Women's Collaborative, a new works initiative focused on uplifting work by women and nonbinary creatives. Taryn collaborated with Addison Hill (composer and singer, she/they) and Karey Miles (pianist, she/her) to create and perform a piece called "Therefore We Protest".
January 2022 - Taryn performed in a virtual performance of a new play called My (Virtually) Perfect Roommate with Virtual Theatre Lab. This play was written to be performed in a Zoom-like environment, and our cast had been rehearsing the show and the technical components for weeks leading up to this performance! This is a truly imaginative show that really encompasses how innovative digital theatre can be!
April 2021 - Taryn and their peers in the Arizona State University Music Theatre Class of 2021 recorded and presented their Senior Showcase in collaboration with The Growing Studio in NYC and Acting Up Series! Taryn's audition package includes, "My Grand Plan" from The Lightning Thief, "Bi The Way" monologue by Jenny Purple, and "Unruly Heart" from The Prom.
March 2021 - Taryn performed as Eric in the musical Runaways at Arizona State University. This project was filmed and recorded in October/November of 2020, and premiered in March! Taryn's performance in this piece has been lauded as both "quite moving" and "bitingly funny". The cast and creative team spent months under strict COVID-19 safety guidelines, rehearsing dance and musical numbers outdoors with masks, recording vocal tracks in separate rooms, and going on-site to film scenes at multiple different venues around the Phoenix community. This project was truly a collaborative labor of love in a time it seemed impossible to create ensemble-driven theatre pieces, check out reviews and behind the scenes footage below!
March 2021 - Taryn performed their solo senior cabaret "Here's Something Queer" as a part of the ASU Music Theatre Class of 2021's Cabaret series and fulfilled the research aspect of their Senior Capstone project for their Performance and Movement major! Taryn created "Here's Something Queer" as an exploratory performance piece that they wrote about the cross section of discovering that they were nonbinary while also pursuing a degree and career in musical theatre.
